Government Polytechnic Kannauj was established in 2010 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The institute is approved by the Board of Technical Education (BTE), Lucknow, and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. At present, Miss Nidhi Varshney is serving as the Principal and is providing effective leadership and guidance for the overall development of the institute.
Kannauj, one of the oldest cities in India, is renowned for its rich archaeological, historical, and cultural heritage. Geographically, the district is situated between 27°13’30” North latitude and 79°19′ to 80°01′ East longitude. Kannauj district was carved out of the erstwhile Farrukhabad district on 18 September 1997, and today it stands as an important educational and cultural center of Uttar Pradesh.
